Last December, we were having problems with one garage door closing and received your advertisement in a Value-pack, so we called. We were put on the schedule for a visit very promptly. Travis came out and quickly assessed our situation, installed one new door and got the second one operating correctly. We were quite pleased. However there was one glitch, with the door sometimes requiring us to hold the button down on the panel to close. We decided not to call during the cold of the winter and just got around to calling now. Again, a very prompt appointment and Travis arrived, quickly diagnosed the problem, and corrected it.

although PGD is fast and courteous I am always very surprised at the quotes I am given for new equipment and the amounts I am charged for service. For instance, a service person quoted $700.00 for a new motor for one opener..on the web the replacement motor for my unit costs @ 72.00 USD. Not sure why any motor would cost $700.00. In the end PGD is a professional operation but one I will no longer use them due to the very high prices they charge.

I chose Precision after waiting numerous weeks for an insufficient response from a competitor. A quick online search led me to Precision, and I was able to make an appointment for the very next day. Darren was able to fix my very old door opener and provide me with new remotes. Previous to this, I could only open the door by nosing the front of my car up to the door itself! Now the door functions perfectly!

Installer was excellent: very efficient, very respectful, Cleaned up after himself. It was clear that he was very conmpetent and highly skilled. There were only two issues: 1. One of the opener pad butons was broken (this happens), and 2. The back-up batteries for the openers were missing. That said, another Technician returned the next day and repaired the button, and installed the batteries.

I have a very busy schedule and do not have the time to call multiple places and get multiple estimates so, I did a google search and found Precision online. Their website is one of the best I've seen. After reading about them and the reviews, I decided to give them a try. The service technician they sent(sorry I forgot his name) was wonderful. He took the time to show me all that was wrong with the existing doors and what would be necessary to repair them. After deciding it would not be worth repairing 17 year old doors, I asked them to give me an estimate on replacing both doors and motors. The price was a little more than I was expecting but I had them replace both doors, motors, tracks, keypads - the whole thing including their lifetime warranty. The doors were installed 2 weeks later by another technician who was just as great as the first person. After a few weeks of use, I can say I am very satisfied! I give this company 5 stars. The only thing that could be improved would be the "emergency" customer service. My doors were installed on a Saturday afternoon and the installer did not realize he plugged one of the motors into a switched outlet so when I turned off the lights in the garage, the motor stopped working(I figured it out myself the following day). But, I called the emergency service phone on Saturday evening explaining that my doors were just installed a few hours ago and one of them does not work and the service rep(who also was very nice and tried to contact a manager for me)explained that a technician would not be able to come out until Monday. After spending the amount of money that I did and the fact that I am a new customer, I thought that someone would try and get a technician back to my house that evening or on Sunday to check out the door that was not working. Other than that, I am very pleased so far with the technicians & installers and the nice rep who answered the phone.(Shared Review)
