The service guy was very professional and thorough. The repair was done superbly together with greasing and lubing done to the rest of garage door openers. The service person also proactively offered advice on how to keep the garage door openers well maintained and trouble free throughout the year. Found advert in New Canaan CT yellow pages with local phone number. Called Sat 11AM (4/5/14) after another company failed to show up for Sat morn appointment, scheduled several days earlier. Pleasantly surprised Precision could come same day. This was important since we would be unavailable for another 2 weeks. Certified techs/uniforms and insurance are critical. Phone service rep was well spoken and knowledgeable. Tech quick to identify prob and advise us - spent 2 hours Sat afternoon (4-6PM) to do a large job which turned out to be not only repair of stripped gears, ball bearings etc., but replacement of older springs that were not appropriate for the door. Tech phoned twice to say when he would arrive. Also the e-mail confirmation for the appointment with information about the technicians was an unexpected level of customer service and professionalism that is rare today. The whole experience with Precision was outstanding.

Leo R. inspected the garage rails, motors and sensors, tested for potential problems and offered different solutions. I ended up replacing the entire system (motor, rail and sensor). The door new system is working great and I'd like to continue working with Leo for next appointment. There is one charge that I think should have been waived after replacing the entire system which is the visit fee.

Initially I thought we needed a new garage door opener. When Leo arrived to do some maintenance on the doors he explained that the root cause was actually weak springs. Leo replaced the springs, fixed our existing safety eyes and the door (and opener) now works perfectly well. Leo knows his stuff and he took the time to explain the system to me. He is a real gentleman.

I chose Precision to repair two garage doors after researching several companies on the internet. My decision was heavily weighted on customer reviews. The customer service representative was able to accommodate my schedule and followed up with a confirmation email. My technician, Leo R, called 1 hour prior to my scheduled appointment to confirm that he would be here as scheduled. Leo was very professional and efficient. After completing a safety inspection he gave me several options and recommendations for the required repairs. One door required a new door opener and the other required a door re-build kit. Leo said the work would take approximately 2 hours to complete. He had all the parts required for the job in his truck, and completed the job (including clean-up) within the estimated time frame. Both doors operate smoothly and are much quieter. I would definitely call Precision for future work, and I highly recommend this company.
